ABK x Paola Navone to showcase Poetry House at Fuorisalone 2022

Italian designer, architect and art director Paola Navone of Studio OTTO collaborated with leading Italian ceramic and porcelain company ABK to design the Poetry House installation for the anticipated Milan Design Week. The installation, part of the Superstudio's Superdesign Show dedicated to Women&Design to be held from 6 to 12 June in the Superstudio Più loft in Via Tortona 27, expresses Navone’s eclectic and dreamlike vision: a house sketched in the air, from where one can contemplate the world with wide-eyed curiosity and wonder. Superstudio proposes the theme 'Looking Ahead' to give the line of the next edition of Superdesign Show: a spontaneous “village”, which develops in areas of interest with "buildings" and site-specific installations in which to wander freely

The designer’s gaze is focused on the future of living, on the new trends and sustainable solutions that connect the ABK installation with the overarching theme of the Superdesign Show 2022: Looking Ahead. Standing on a ceramic carpet created from new ABK surfaces, Poetry House is a home just waiting to be invented. At the same time, it is a product concept shared by ABK and Paola Navone - Studio OTTO that offers an ironic and unconventional reinterpretation of materials such as wood and stone. The project was first unveiled at Cersaie 2021 and so far has led to the launch of three separate collections – Poetry Wood, Poetry Decor and Poetry Stone – and will soon be expanded with the addition of new stylistic explorations.

A kind of manifesto for a new poetic vision of living, Poetry House summarises Paola Navone’s experience as an architect and designer, applying it to artificial materials and achieving an unmistakable blend of uniqueness, imperfection and graphic designs inspired by her most iconic and representative works.
