Large spaces delineated by wings follow one another and alternate, dividing the living, sleeping and outdoor areas. The Meridiani stand at Salone del Mobile in Milan Design Week 2024, by the designer and art director of the company, Andrea Parisio, develops through regular volumes that revolve around the central garden, offering continuous changes of perspective between the different sets. White and natural tones are the scenic basis of the project, with bold colour accents as a counterpoint. Here the brand's iconic collections live and dialogue with the many new product designs, narrating a timeless elegance that winks at the most current geometric design with original appeal.
In the exhibition space, Meridiani expresses the identity of a brand offering all around design solutions, designing complete furnishings for different areas of the home. The vast range of novelties presented in this edition is varied and heterogeneous: not only outdoor products, new seats and finishes but also extremely versatile chests of drawers, storage units and bedside tables – collections that complete the proposal of upholstery items, which have always been the historic one for the Italian brand.
Among the 2024 novelties on stage, Vetra, the modular piece of furniture design with compact and essential volumes, on set in both the Travertine version and the ‘Forest’ green glossy lacquer version; Romeo, a storage element with an organic shape; Cosette and Claudine, two complementary but also independent seats, characterised by a distinctive silhouette and sharing rounded volumes; Jeanette, the armchair with soft shapes and small dimensions, with a backrest that develops through an enveloping cylinder to become the armrest. And also: Gino, pouf, a ‘jolly’ element in every furnishing space thanks to its versatile playfulness; Wallis, the new container with asymmetrical shapes available both as a chest of drawers or with doors for living space; finally, the new headboard and quilting for Tuyo, the brand's iconic bed collection, here accompanied by the Johnny bedside table designs. A reserved area shows instead the outdoor novelties: the Vincent Open Air sofa, in the chaise longue and sofa version, and the Fabien Open Air coffee tables with glazed lava stone tops.
Furthermore, on the occasion of the design week, Meridiani renews its indoor and outdoor textile proposal, bringing it on stage through a reorganisation and expansion of the colour ranges. Selection, quality and inspiration are the drivers that have led the brand to offer a new interpretation of its textile collections with multiple shades of colours and materials. A choice that reflects the brand’s artisanal care, which intends to reassure, accompany, enrich and at the same time facilitate clients and partners with the personalisation of the upholstery collections.
Not only Salone but also Fuorisalone; in addition to the stand at the design fair, three other Meridiani locations welcome visitors to the city of Milan: the mono-brand store via Manzoni 38, the historic space in Corso Venezia 29 and the Meridiani Point in Durini 5.
The store in Manzoni 38, inaugurated last year in the fashion district and located inside a prestigious building from the early 1900s, develops a refined layout on two floors with a more decided and contemporary appeal, where the 2024 novelties create a perfect immersive set, thanks to the neutral shades that form the backdrop to a large scenography, framed by bolder chromatic features. The showroom apartment, on the first floor of a period building in Corso Venezia, presents itself in a new guise and with a new inspiration, that of the Meridiani House. With an ad hoc restyling, the space entirely furnished with the brand's products gives rise to a refreshed exhibition concept, ready to be customised even in other cities, by international clients and professionals who want to open Meridiani showroom-houses in line with the local style and taste. Finally, the Meridiani Point in Durini 5, set in the windows of the partner retailer Bredaquaranta, hosts a design exhibition dedicated to the 2024 Open Air novelties, telling of the brand's dedication to refined aesthetics and state-of-the-art quality, also for outdoor spaces.
