The Italian Meta-Luxury brand Visionnaire is glad to announce that its Zahara cabinet, designed by Alessandro La Spada, is the winner of the prestigious Wallpaper Design Awards 2024 in the 'Gleam Team' category. The Wallpaper Awards in its 20th edition is an annual celebration of the very best in design over the previous 12 months. The design awards are carefully selected by the Wallpaper team, alongside its extended family of contributors, writers and curators from around the world.

The Zahara cabinet, a masterpiece in itself, is a symphony of metal tiles with glossy and antique finishes meticulously arranged to craft an intricate geometric pattern. Drawing inspiration from nature, the furniture design features metal inserts with a texture reminiscent of tree bark, delivering a one-of-a-kind effect that captivates whether admired from a distance or examined up close. The Zahara cabinet is a wooden sideboard that is entirely clad in a patchwork of stainless steel sheets with alternating polished and antique finishes. More texture is added in the form of long decorative inserts in sand-blasted aluminium with a mesmerising ‘bark’ finish.

Elaborating on receiving the award, Eleonore Cavalli, Art Director and Co-Founder, Visionnaire says, "I am immensely proud to announce that the Zahara cabinet by Alessandro La Spada has clinched the top honours at the Wallpaper Design Awards 2024 in the 'Gleam Team' category. It is yet another achievement which is a testament to the visionary brilliance of our brand. This accolade reaffirms Visionnaire's commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and innovation, solidifying our position at the forefront of the global design landscape."

Last year the Leonardo bookshelf, by Alessandro La Spada, won the 2023 Wallpaper Design Awards in the Best Sleeper Hits category, the Apple Floor Lamp by Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli won the 2022 Wallpaper Design Awards in the 'Best Rockstars' category, the Admeto low table designed by Marco Piva, with a smoky glass table top and base made of metal and marble with grooved stripes, won the 2021 Wallpaper Design Awards, in the 'Best Curves' category. In 2019, the Marty console also designed by Marco Piva crafted with metal, mirrors and glass won the Wallpaper Design Awards 2019 in the 'Dream Factory' category.
