While the platform is now cohesive and accomplished, its conception was prompted by a gap identified by creative professionals. Our conversations frequently returned to how one seeks inspiration, finds innovative solutions and challenges themselves to create the new, the NEXT. STIRpad, then, bridges the gap by becoming a comprehensive destination of all that is new in the domain of design, publishing daily.

Over the past year, STIRpad has curated and presented new products, materials, projects and innovations that have either been birthed within the confines of an artist’s home or have been flamboyantly presented at some of the biggest art and design festivals across the globe. The result is the creation of a space that offers a daily dose of new innovations, launches and ideas in the realm of design, new media art and technology – democratising content whilst handing the reins to the creators – Studios, Galleries and Brands.

While in the Studio section, we invite some of the most inspiring artists, designers and design collectives such as Marcel Wanders studio, Piero Lissoni, Nika Zupanc, Jean-Marie Massaud, Karim Rashid, Nada Debs, Luca Nichetto, Sara Ricciardi, Richard Hutten among others, to present their latest creations, Galleries like Nilufar Gallery, FUMI, Galerie Philia, Southern Guild, Carwan Gallery, Roca, Galerie kreo, Cardi Gallery and Nero Design Gallery feature a well-curated line-up of artists, designers and products that transcend the realm of art and design. Brands such as Armani/Casa, ERCO, Lema, Poltrona Frau, Visionnaire and SICIS among others, as actualisers of dreams and imaginations, command an equally dominant presence on STIRpad. The three of them, when combined, create a universe that scopes out new works on the platform on a regular basis. STIR's editorial team scours far and wide for new creatives and technologies to feature in the News section, presented especially for our discerning readers. We are happy to share that our readership expands to 3.38 million readers and 6.63 million pageviews across both our platforms under the parent banner of STIR.

The 60th edition of Salone del Mobile marked the return of Milan Design Week 2022. STIR, in close collaboration with the fair and key design districts, launched a host of editorial initiatives to amplify the voices of designers, curators and changemakers who are shaping what comes NEXT for the creative industry. This year, STIR debuted at Salone with a dedicated Press Booth. As one of the few publications with a booth on the fairgrounds, STIR visualized its physical presence as a hub for an exchange of ideas, perspectives, conversations and catch-ups. Presented by Salone del Mobile and STIR, and produced by Dog Ear, Design Voices - #thinkNEXT is a video and podcast series with an aim to collect and amplify the voices of creative thought leaders from around the world at the fair this year. From being conceived and launched a year ago aiming to bring forth the best in design to becoming an ally of the most coveted design events across the globe, STIR also partnered with Fuorisalone, Index Design Fair, Dubai Design Week, Boston Design Week, Design China Beijing, Jerusalem Design Week, Clerkenwell Design Week, Berlin Design Week and Design London, STIRpad in its second year commits deeper to the STIR mantra of #thinkNEXT. .
