The 9th Annual Boston Design Week (BDW) will take place April 26-May 8, 2022, featuring 50+ virtual hybrid, and outdoor events citywide, including the annual Design Week Awards, Friday, May 6th.  BDW offers renowned guest speakers, panel discussions, exhibitions, and more hosted by design-oriented businesses, universities, museums, and non-profits. This year’s theme puts a special emphasis on fields of design that challenge conventional thinking, processes, or materials. All events are open to the public and most are free.
Boston Design Week is exceptional in its comprehensive showcase of design’s role in our daily life, particularly Boston’s role as a hub for design innovation. This 14-day citywide festival serves to expand the design community, ultimately making the design more accessible. All Boston Design Week events are open to the public and most are free of charge. Special Festival Theme: Boston Rethinks Design
We are looking for events in all categories and in all fields of design that are groundbreaking, disrupt previous ideas, or challenge conventional thinking, processes, or materials. We are particularly interested in design events that respond to the economic, social, and environmental imperatives of our design professions, city, country, and world.
Special Focus Tracks
If your event falls into one of the special track categories, it will receive an extra track designation in the calendar listings to help attendees find it more quickly.
