MYrug is a design inspired by a mandala, created by British designer Michael Young under the art direction of Richard Hutten. The product is a 100 per cent woolen rug design with a pile length ranging from 10 to as much as 120 millimetres. The rug's centre features a short loop pile with a cut pattern, gradually rising in height towards the edges, which have 120 millimetre shaggy fringes. The rug's detailing is inspired by Tibetan prayer wheels.

Young, an industrial designer and creative director based in Hong Kong, works in the fields of product, furniture and interior design with studios based in Hong Kong, Milan, Tokyo and Brussels. He is known for his unconventional use of materials and production processes, which have earned him numerous design awards. Young and his studio members' design philosophy is to craft human senses and embrace materiality to create product designs with a lasting legacy. "Our process and deliverables are unique, forward-thinking and immersed in culture and innovation," the product designer conveys. Their core belief lies within the power of collaboration, a tenet that their latest endeavour reflects.

MYrug was part of the presentation of the Future>Factory>Furniture group at Masterly - The Dutch in Milan, Nicole Uniquole's successful initiative at Fuorisalone 2025. At the design festival this year, held from April 7 - 13, 2025, MYrug gave a platform to the iconic chair designs that the F>F>F> group members showcased with the circular fabric 'stof tot nadenken'. The collective called attention to the challenges that the interior and furniture design industry faces. For Milan Design Week 2025, the MYrug little rugs were made with circular yarn sourced from all the partners' upholstery residue. The presentation captivated visitors of the design fair, at the entrance of the building at Palazzo Giureconsulti in Italy.

MYrug comes in three shapes: a circle, a square and a rectangle with rounded corners. All variants have the same appearance of a thick and fluffy rug. The green yarn is made from leftover cloth from Dutch Partners in the collective Future Factory Furniture—a perfect symbiosis between high-end design and sustainability.
