Fuorisalone 2025, taking place alongside Salone del Mobile.Milano from April 7 – 13, 2025, promises to once again captivate viewers and visitors with an effervescent showcase of innovation and creativity in Milan. As the city morphs into a creative hub for Milan Design Week, Fuorisalone will offer an exciting array of design events, exhibitions and installations throughout the city and its design districts, mustering key players from the design world. This year, the theme Connected Worlds calls for reflection on how design can bridge various dimensions of our lives—nature, technology, cultural traditions, innovations and more.
With discourse and experimentation around sustainability, artificial intelligence, hybridisation and participatory design, Fuorisalone 2025, with STIR as a media partner, will delineate the ongoing evolution of design, speculating on its future. Connected Worlds intends to be a vision of the present anticipating future, where design and AI collaborate to create a more interactive and immersive world; "Milan Design Week 2025 becomes a veritable workshop of ideas, where future of design takes shape, as usual", says Paolo Casati, co-founder and creative director of Studiolabo, which has curated the fourth edition of the Fuorisalone Award.
Fuorisalone 2025's communication campaign, designed by Silvia Badalotti, a photographer, prompt designer and image consultant, presents three powerful AI-generated images representing person, technology and nature—illustrating interconnectedness and emphasising the importance of design in fostering global harmony. The theme of Connected Worlds is furthered with the immersive Portanuova Vertical Connection installation, where AI guides visitors through an interactive journey, blending the physical and digital worlds. The Fuorisalone Award also returns to celebrate and acknowledge the most notable interventions and installations presented during the design week across three categories: Sustainability, Technology and Communication.
