Bold and refined aesthetic, sartorial attention to detail and a true passion for handling shapes, colours and materials—this is how, dancing between art and design, the unmistakable style of Italy-based design studio Draga & Aurel is expressed in the latest product design proposals for influential high-end furniture companies.
Tratto pendant lamp | Gallotti&Radice
For the Italian brand, Gallotti&Radice, Draga & Aurel conceived a graphic element suspended in space. The Tratto lamp breaks apart and reassembles the purity of a cylinder, turning it into an emphatic and gracious light sculpture. Versatile yet poetic, spectacular yet essential, Tratto traces an enchanting and beguiling luminous cascade in the air. The lamp design is simple yet precious with an LED-light glossy nickel tube and hand-cut crystal diffusers, coloured and shaded through a metallic sublimation process in amaranth, saffron, olive oil and powder blue, which can be combined on request. The lighting design is available in both horizontal and vertical versions.
Pierce cabinet | Baxter
Pierce is a sophisticated cabinet that glorifies the artistic dialogue between aesthetic tension and functional harmony. Inspired by the charm of the 1970s and by the sculptural art of Agostino Bonalumi, this sideboard replaces traditional wooden panels with modern steel surfaces. The soft leather doors are embellished with evocative natural folds, gathered by a metal ring for a piercing effect. The glossy lacquered frame and the matte lacquered interior, enriched by extra clear glass shelves, crystallise the bold and sophisticated aesthetic. The furniture design is equipped with adjustable feet and customisable metal finishes to adapt perfectly to any contemporary interior.
Cascata and Rilievi Wallpapers | Wall&deco
The Italian designers have designed two new themes for Contemporary Wallpaper 2025. Wall&deco's artistic, customisable wallpaper collection is now also available with d.ecodura™ coating, which replaces conventional vinyl with BIOVYN™, a material produced with 100 per cent bio-based ethylene derived from wood residue from the forestry industry. Cascata replicates the flowing, dynamic effect of a silk drape in motion: a contemporary tapestry in which threads of intense and resolute colours emerge, alternating with bands of blurred colour and creating a visual rhythm of shading and textures. Rilievi expresses its vibrant dynamism through an abstract composition that plays on the three-dimensionality of the stroke. The wall is transformed into a 'living' work of art: the hues take shape and assume motion in a colour palette that lights up the canvas with zest, while the neutral, serene background conjures the expectation of a new creation.
