Turri unveils new additions to the Blues family

This spring will be marked by the Italian brand Turri expanding its Blues collection with two novel elements: the Blues Table and the Blues Chair, their design aligning with the international and contemporary language of the brand. The living room proposal of the collection was conceived in the year 2020 as an array of selected design sofas contrived by Giuseppe Viganò - Studio Viganò will be complemented by a new dining room with its first two pieces. The design expression of the collection is driven by attention to detail and the artisanal tradition which is evident in the recent additions as well.

The collection has a distinctive contemporary style and is evocative of the celebrated Blues music of the western culture. A range of materials, finishes, textures, shapes and colours harmoniously fabricate a furniture proposal that meets the taste of the new generations similar to how different notes intertwined together create balance and harmony in blues music. Each product is executed in a variety of combinations of materials: leather, wood and marble, leaving space for customisation and flexibility. Giuseppe Viganò was influenced by the rhythm and musicality of the blues and wanted his designs to emanate the same passion, intense emotion and balance.

The blues chair, with its curvy lines transmuting the backrest and armrest into a single entity, reflects the characteristic style of the brand. The backrest enveloping the seat with the legs ascending towards the emerging composition, the chair is no less than a piece of sculptural art. The furnishing element is a combination of wood and metal, a material palette typical to the blues collection. The finishes, materials and shapes together render the chair a uniqueness and lightness. The chair being one of the cornerstones of the furniture world, has the ability to be a defining style element of the area it adorns.

The Blues table, like the rest of the collection, is reminiscent of blues music. Its graphic sign that bears resemblance to a parenthesis serves as a horizontal division of space. With its base taking on the form of wings, the table is an epitome of both a functional and an aesthetic play of lines. The top of the table on the other hand is a configuration of rounded corners and circular and light lines, akin to the previous products of the collection. Minute metallic details marking the central meeting point of the base and circumscribing the entire perimeter of the tabletop add to the product’s finesse and sophistication. The blues table too is executed in a range of materials and finishes for the top, available in wood or marble, and the base, in walnut or glossy lacquered wood, making its design adaptable and befitting for any interior.

The new additives to the Blues family beautifully satisfy the requisites of a dining room: functionality and hospitality. Moreover, they continue to revive the rhythms of the Blues through their contemporary design, exemplary manifestations and excellent craftsmanship.
