Toan Nguyen for Turri pays homage to rationalism with 'A New Idea of Ratio'

Designer Toan Nguyen has proposed the project A New Idea of Ratio in collaboration with Turri, for the highly anticipated design event—Salone del Mobile.Milano, in Milan, Italy from April 18 to 23, 2023. Welcoming Toan Nguyen's signature style, the new collaboration confirms Turri's decisive move towards increasingly contemporary design solutions. Together with the furniture designer, Turri proposes Ratio—a homage to rationalism. Without nostalgia or compromises on current lifestyles and comfort, the Ratio collection is the culmination of Nguyen’s vision for a more ideal existence and Turri’s long history of expert craftsmanship.

Nguyen's design style offers a peaceful, mindful hiatus from cosmopolitan reality. The collection is a meditation on proportion and examines the concept of comfort as an escape from everyday life. Through a thoughtful composition of proportions, shapes and details, 'Ratio' aids our perpetual search for balance—between the daily frenzy of our lives and much-needed respite from the world’s endless distractions. The Ratio sofa, in its woven leather structure, freely conveys contemporary elegance. An abundant seat with cushions, covered in fabric—equally large and independent—it is supported by a metal structure wrapped on the sides by a leather weave, reminiscent of a waving ribbon raised off the ground by thin metal feet.

Details and manufacturing quality are symbols of a contemporary language that places humans as the central element in the design of furnishings which, above all, must be functional and ready to meet different types of spaces. The Ratio collection will be officially presented at the Salone del Mobile.Milano at the Turri Design stand (PAD. 7—Stand M14-M16).
