As one of the biggest design events internationally, Milan Design Week will witness the showcases by many designers, brands and galleries across Milan and one such display will be the courtesy of the Nilufar Gallery. “We want to represent nowadays zeitgeist, which is hardly anymore about single choices, but rather about abundance, heterogeneity, medleys, opposites meeting, mixing and dialoguing. Contemporary taste is not defined by an exclusive typology of style, but rather by appreciating visual culture, accepting and wanting the richness of stimuli the world provides. This year, we present collectable design in an unprecedented shape and form of entertainment," shares Nina YasharFounder of Nilufar gallery.

The gallery will be returning to Milan Design Week 2022 with a major showcase of works from over twenty-five internationally renowned artists with various exhibitions spanning Via Della Spiga and the Nilufar Depot. Nina Yashar aims to blend generations, styles and nationalities to create a dialogue between established names and young avant-garde talents, ultimately staging an entertaining design show. The design gallery has conceived a theme that could embody its belief that with a variety of represented artists, the gallery can showcase a fusion of practices that are just as enriching as they are entertaining, all united by the gallery’s distinctive taste.

Numerous artists and designers will be presenting their latest works at the gallery's dual locations from 7th June till 12th June 2022, 10 AM-7 PM. At the Nilufar Depot, Viale Lancetti, the showcase will include the works of Analogia Project, Andrea Sanguineti, Andrés Reisinger, Ashley Hicks, Audrey Large, Bethan Laura Wood, Caturegli Formica and Draga & Aurel among others. Furthermore, at the Nilufar Gallery, Via Della Spiga, new projects and exhibitions by Anestis Michalis, Daniele Innamorato, Gal Gaon, Irene Goldberg and Khaled El Mays will be showcased. A special project—  the Reborn Project will also be on display at both the locations with the promotional support of Ginori 1735 and curated by Frédéric Chambre in collaboration with Nilufar Gallery

Originally located via Bigli while specialising in antique carpets, Nilufar Gallery moved to via Della Spiga and ventured into the world of modern and contemporary design by the late 1990s, exhibiting works by the great Mid-century designers alongside unique carpets, cutting-edge furniture designs and pieces by emerging talents. Since the 2000s, Nilufar has hosted experimentations and 'cross-contamination' exhibitions, enhancing its reputation as an international reference point for historical and contemporary design lovers.

In 2015, Nina Yashar opened Nilufar Depot in a former silverware factory building. The large 1,500 square-meter space spread over three floors is located via Lancetti, Milan. Its design holds the inspiration from the elegance of the La Scala Opera House in Milan. It hosts a selection of the extensive Nilufar collection, in a setting where contemporary design harmoniously dialogues with iconic historical design pieces.
