From innovative product designs to captivating installations, the upcoming edition of Milan Design Week is set to alter the streets of Milan with iridescent tapestries of creativity. Sweden and Italy-based designer Luca Nichetto joins the ebullient wave of the design event with a series of presentations in collaboration with global brands, set to be unveiled from April 7 - 13, 2025.

Alchemic Jewels

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2025, Barovier&Toso celebrates its 730th anniversary with Alchemic Jewels, a display project curated by Nichetto Studio that expresses the essence of the Italian brand through the alchemy of glass and the value of Murano craftsmanship. The concept is developed through an exhibition path involving three key locations: Euroluce at Salone del Mobile.Milano, the Monobrand showroom in Milan and the boutique in Venice.

'Alchemic' recalls the ancient art of transforming raw materials into something extraordinary, just as sand becomes glass through fire, water and air. 'Jewels', on the other hand, emphasises the preciousness and uniqueness of each creation, made with a mastery that has been handed down through generations. Together, these two words evoke the essence of Barovier&Toso: each piece is a jewel of design and tradition, a work of art born from a process that is as magical as it is unique.

Exodus

Bolon, the climate-neutral Swedish woven design company, announces Exodus, an installation presented during the design festival in collaboration with multidisciplinary designers Luca Nichetto and JoAnn Tan. Hosted inside a historic Milanese house, now home to the new JoAnn Tan Atelier, the installation designed by Nichetto and Tan brings Bolon's sustainable woven flooring to life through a fantastical ecosystem of mysterious anthropomorphic creatures that appear to be in a process of evolution. Offering a transformative visual journey between past and future, it showcases Bolon's pioneering material transformation, designed to shape new sensory dimensions and redefine how we perceive space.

The Lodge

Ethimo presents The Lodge in its flagship store in Milano Durini. Welcoming the elegance of linear shapes and sartorial details, the presentation features work by designers such as Christophe Pillet, Cristina Celestino, Valerio Sommella, Luca Nichetto, Zanellato/Bortotto and Marcello Ziliani. Nichetto partakes in the show with his new chair designVenexia.

Teo Lamp

The Teo cordless table lamp, designed by Nichetto for Salvatori, is inspired by the works of renowned architect Ieoh Ming Pei. Combining the delicateness of paper and the elegant solidity of natural stone, this charming and original expression of harmony creates the perfect mood lighting both inside and outdoors. As Luca Nichetto explains, "This project took a bit of time to achieve the desired result, which is interesting because the inspiration comes from a simple gesture: rolling a piece of paper and placing it into a marble base. Our intention was to design a sleek, elegant lamp with a high-end craft perception. Developing the right lighting source, however, took considerable time."
