Matteo Nunziati crafts 'Vendome' collection with heat-treated eucalyptus for Turri

Inspired by the eponymous square in Paris, where one finds a high concentration of prestigious shops, the Vendome collection comprises two pieces: a chest of drawers and a bedside table. The collection of bedroom accessories is conceived by the acclaimed Italian designer and architect Matteo Nunziati for Italian brand Turri, and unveiled during Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023 in Milan, Italy. Both the furniture designs are defined by a delicate glass top, which, like the windows of French jewellers, enhances the precious objects contained inside. The elegant details recall 'Parisian refinement' reinterpreted in a contemporary style, in the design signature of the internationally renowned furniture designer born in Bologna.

The Vendome bedside table, with its structure articulated in a heat-treated eucalyptus, and a profile in matte dark platinum metal, includes front drawers covered in aquamarine-coloured leather, and a central vertical handle in the same metal as its profile. Sober and elegant, this side table is ideal for storing personal objects without fully hiding them.

With similar characteristics in larger dimensions, the new Vendome chest of drawers is presented in a softer version. Heat-treated eucalyptus contrasts once again with a matte dark platinum metal perimeter in the Italian furniture; but, in this version, the front drawers feature soft, beige leather. The alternation of materials, along with the refined details of the handles, and the metal profile of the chest of drawers come together with the sophisticated glass top.

The transparency in both proposals, the table design and the chest of drawers from the Vendome collection highlight intriguing geometric lines while leaving plenty of room for customisation, owing to the wide range of finishes and colours included in the Turri catalogue.
