‘Echo’ by Giuseppe Viganò for Turri embodies contemporary sinuosity

At the recently concluded Milan Design Week 2024, Italian brand Turri laid bare a troupe of new product designs and collections realised in collaboration with renowned international designers. In the exhibition spaces of Rho Fiera Milano, during Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, the brand unveiled Echo by Giuseppe Viganò – Studio Viganò. Visually reflecting the sound waves of an echo: it softens in the roundness of its shapes up to gradually waning in the repetition of the reflection itself like in the sound of the letter 'o’, which characterises it. Its soft lines and rounded corners lead the guests into a sensory journey to discover the Italian craftsmanship experience. The soft and precise movement of Viganò's creations embraces the artisanal experience by transforming it into a strong contemporary version. Through the new Echo collection, Viganò joins the original identity of Turri's brand.

Echo dining

A timeless, charming dining room, that embraces the most refined needs of contemporary living and stands out for its never-ending savoir-faire. In the middle of the space, there is the Echo table, characterised by a solid base evocative of a cylinder torsion during the creation phase. The table design features a top with rounded lines which reveals great attention to detail. A part of the wood base is covered by leather while the rest is made of walnut wood and includes the possibility of selecting a marble top.

Behind the table is the Echo sideboard, a witness of contemporary sinuosity and refined elegance. The base of the furniture design is made of the same walnut wood employed in the table, creating an interesting horizontal development to give solidity and consistency to the whole creation. The walnut wood doors underline Turri's artisanal expertise characterised by a bold creation ability. The leather-covered side is designed to create a contrast with the furniture’s remaining body. Furthermore, the Echo cupboard is extremely functional and welcoming. Being an example of Turri's uniqueness, it transforms daily life into a comfortable and stylish experience.

Echo office

The sinuous lines and soft shapes of the dining area move on to influence the workplace as well—giving it a timeless elegance. The Echo office goes beyond simple functionality, it embodies a harmonious and balanced aesthetic. The fusion of sinuous curves and versatile furniture creates a warm and inspiring atmosphere designed to stimulate creativity and improve the efficiency of the professionals who inhabit it. In the new office presented by Turri, the desk becomes the central element. The walnut wood top with leather desk pad is characterised by these rounded shapes, which are close to the edge, and gently softened by simulating two different countertops inside the desk. This design offers ample storage with leather drawers, optimising organisation and easing business performance.

Beside the desk is a comfortable office armchair from the Echo collection: a wide and welcoming seat blending focus and performance. The choice of leather as the main material gives a touch of refinement to the environment. The leather used to cover the chair design is a distinctive element of the entire collection. Like an echo resounding through the living spaces, this lait motif trickles in from the dining area to redefine the home office elegance. The chair’s leather body with the fabric pairing highlights Turri's craftsmanship and know-how. Thanks to its solidity and ergonomic design, it always guarantees comfort.

Despite its minimal design, the soft and welcoming curves of the chairs confer a familiar look. This is how the Echo collection’s essence moves from private areas to professional ones by elegantly adjusting to every context and keeping its distinctive character intact.
