The Shoreditch Design Triangle returns for its fifteenth consecutive year with a spirited programme of design-led happenings that are representative of the vibrant creative scene that flourishes in the area. Set to be a bumper year, SDT announced the first round of 25 confirmed participants, from leading furniture designers and brands, to the best new students in the land.
The Shoreditch Design Triangle is a cultural event that celebrates the creative industry in east London. It was established in 2008 as a vehicle for the designers, companies and institutions situated in the area to collaborate on the promotion of their activities during the London Design Festival, and at other key periods in the year.
Shoreditch is a modern mixed use inner-city environment, where residents, creative industries, the arts, retailers, restaurateurs, party-goers and international visitors all join in. It’s a place that celebrates diversity, embraces new ideas and welcomes the individual.

About Participant Events:
AIDA
PICK ME UP – TEXTILE TAPESTRY
AIDA joins forces with textile artist Llinos Owen to showcase her unique collection of textured tapestries. Inspired by personal narratives, youth culture, mental health, and relationships, Owen’s visually captivating, large-scale rug-pulled tapestries tell stories through their craftsmanship. Each piece pays tribute to the traditionally female-dominated tradition and crafts, encompassing tales of beauty and skill.

ART PRACTICE
PLAY
The London-based creators and studio behind the recently launched ‘Channel 4 idents’ have curated a group exhibition presenting the alternative, non-screen-based output produced by the group. The show includes interactive, three-dimensional, and image-based work around the theme of Play. The collection features new pieces from founder, Dan Tobin Smith; design and direction collective, Optical Arts; photographer and director, Maria Lax; and fine artist; Daniel Eatock.

BUSTER + PUNCH
CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF DETAILS
Buster + Punch celebrates its anniversary with an exhibition featuring the brand’s hardware, lighting, furniture, and home accents from the past decade. The exhibition introduces Chopper, a lounge chair designed by Marcello Minale, the father of founder Massimo Buster Minale. Marcello’s influential legacy in branding and graphic design inspired Massimo’s creative journey in architecture, design, and the establishment of the brand.

JASPER MORRISON SHOP
BAMBOO
The exhibition will illuminate the qualities of bamboo as a material for the modern world. A selection of hand-crafted objects from Japan shows bamboo’s use in the household and industry, its strength and versatility, and the skills and techniques that work it. The shapes and patterns on display hold much to inspire the eye. This exhibition is an especially edited version of ‘Our Bamboo: Exploring Materials’ by Japan Creative, shown at the Triennale in Milan in April 2023.

VITRA
HACKABILITY OF THE STOOL
Tokyo based architect Daisuke Motogi’s research project and exhibition Hackability of the Stool features 100 ideas for altering the iconic Stool 60, designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933. This most elemental of furniture pieces has remained in continuous production since its creation, and celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2023. After first presentations in China, Japan, Italy and Germany, Hackability of the Stool will be on view at the Vitra and Artek Tramshed showroom.
