London Design Fair is set to bring a new level of sustainable design to the creative heart of Shoreditch with its new ‘Homes with a Heart’ showcase in collaboration with Blue Patch. The leading event for interior designers, architects, and retail buyers, is making its much anticipated comeback at the iconic Truman Brewery from 21 – 24 September 2023 with so much on offer.

Over its 14 years, the fair has developed a worldwide reputation as an essential trade destination and the go-to show for inspiration and business, with its contemporary selection of creators, manufacturers, and brands across multiple disciplines. The 2023 edition promises an array of new and existing features for visitors to enjoy.

The Fair is calling upon key names in the industry to collaborate in 2023, hosting pockets of content and bespoke installations reflecting the eclectic atmosphere of the Fair. Offering an inspiring programme for the architecture and design community, this year’s Fair promises to give its visitors the opportunity to anticipate future trends and mindsets.

Homes with a Heart
The area will feature a sustainably styled home that demonstrates there is no compromise on aesthetics when opting for responsibly produced and manufactured products for the home. The area delves into the beauty of traditional crafts and small-batch, circular production lines, providing a glimpse into the individual stories behind each design.

Design Alumni Pavilion
The first edition of London Design Fair’s new initiative Design Alumni Pavilion will showcase and support emerging talent within the design community. The exclusive selection of new talents will consist of recent graduates who have recently begun their career within their chosen practice of design.

British Craft Pavilion
An exhibition of high-end crafts, exclusively designed and produced in Great Britain. This exhibition will showcase products from a spectrum of disciplines, with a spotlight on the very best in collectable design. All those exhibiting in this area are presenting work that was designed and produced in the UK with majority British materials.

The LDNdesign Talks Theatre will feature an inspiring line-up of industry figures and designers – curated with the support of the design community.  LDNdesign Talks Theatre offers four days of talks and workshops specifically targeted for both trade and consumer audiences.

The Sustainable Materials Showcase
An exclusive selection of materials used and repurposed in an innovative way that contributes towards a global mission to better the environment. The Sustainable Materials Showcase gives London Design Fair exhibitors the chance to show their raw material, to shine a spotlight on the material’s environmental credentials and tell a story about the production process and thought process behind their finished product.

Togetherness Design Award
London Design Fair collaborates with OYOY Living Design this year to support the award. The brief to new graduate designers exhibiting at the Fair is to design a product that can be used within the family home, that can grow with the family and be used in everyday life, using sustainable materials. The winning designer will have the opportunity to work with Danish brand OYOY Living Design, to refine, develop and manufacture their product. The finished product will be exclusively listed with the online retailer Glassette for three months.
