Under the theme CLASH, different values, traditions, and expectations collide. Are analog and digital in opposition with each other? What creative potential do cultural differences and conflicts hold? What areas of tension arise between expectation and reality? At what point does the natural become artificial? The third Design Biennale Zurich presents a dozen experimental design projects from Switzerland.
Design Biennale Zurich is initiated by the Association “Verein Freundeskreis Design”. The purpose of the association is to sharpen the awareness of design especially in Switzerland, to stimulate a critic debate, to identify new issues in the area of con ict between culture and economics and to strengthen the cultural relevance of design.
Exhibition
Twelve installations make CLASH their subject; upcycling, algorithmic design, digital animal worlds, data protection or Virtual reality. In the exhibition, design can be experienced up close.
