ITA Airways Hangar Lounge at Rome Fiumicino Airport
Lema entirely furnishes the new VIP Room inside the ITA Airways Hangar Lounge located after the security gates of Terminal 1 at the boarding area A of Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport. A landmark, a place that meets the desires of an exclusive clientele dedicated to passengers eligible for the service (Business class, Executive members, Premium Volare and Elite Plus Skyteam members) departing to domestic and international destinations in the Schengen area.
The new Hangar Lounge wants to be an ambassador of Italian excellence in the world and was created thanks to important synergies with the most prestigious Italian brands. The project, designed by the branding agency Robilant Associati to establish an innovative and contemporary dialogue between ITA Airways and its passengers, aims to consolidate the dialogue between ITA Airways and its passengers, providing a large space of 980 square metres, with a maximum capacity of 150 people.
An environment where one can feel at home, between design, warmth and conviviality. Lema has been able to interpret this objective by dressing a VIP living lounge inside this space dedicated to its passengers. A place with attention to every detail designed to meet the needs of those travelling for business or pleasure and to offer customers arriving from all over the world an all-Italian welcome, where they can organise business meetings in total privacy or enjoy moments of relaxation in a comfortable environment.
"It is truly a pleasure to present today our VIP Room inside the Hangar Lounge recently inaugurated by ITA Airways - said Giovanni Perosino Chief Marketing Officer of ITA Airways - for us this location represents a reserved and functional space entirely dedicated to customers who, for business reasons, always seek greater privacy for meetings and networking before boarding our flights.
Executive members of the Volare programme will be able to access the VIP Room of the new Hangar lounge at Roma Fiumicino (as well as the one in the Piazza di Spagna lounge) where they can wait for their flight in total privacy and organise meetings in an exclusive environment, accommodating up to 6 passengers already eligible in the lounge.
The service wants to add a further piece to the experience by extending to executive members the use of the VIP Rooms of the Piazza di Spagna and Hangar Lounges, today reserved only to customers with Meet&Greet service. In particular, already since 21 June, executive customers can use the VIP Rooms without a reservation at the same time as access to the lounge: it will be possible to request their use to the welcome desk staff, who will grant access on the basis of availability at the time of the request. The new VIP Room,' continues Perosino, 'has been furnished by LEMA, whom I would like to thank for their excellent work and for having achieved the same objectives as us: customer-centricity and a tailor-made service in the name of Italian style.
"The ITA Airways VIP Room project fascinated us right from the start. We are honoured to be a partner in a project that focuses on welcoming thousands of passengers who every day choose to stop here to find a peaceful, all-Italian oasis. With this important collaboration, Lema wishes to improve the customer experience of travellers from all over the world, creating a space that is hospitable, practical and in which they can breathe in all the warmth of Made in Italy hospitality and design," comments Angelo Meroni, President of Lema.
Shades of earth, enveloping soft and versatile nuances: at the entrance to the VIP Room the generous volumes of the Venise corner sofa by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti are ready to welcome ITA Airways passengers. The wooden coffee tables of the same name, serving the seating, share space with the Dolmen coffee tables by designer David Lopez Quincoces, here in different sizes and heights.
In the background, adding warmth to the room, is the four-door Picture sideboard by Roberto Lazzeroni, in sand-coloured lacquer. The choice of warm colours and material finishes evokes the typical shades of the Mediterranean landscape inside the VIP Room. The living area is completed by the Felix armchair by Lazzeroni upholstered in fabric and the Ortis coffee tables in calacatta marble and portoro marble in contrasting colours, designed by the Buratti brothers.
A composition of the Plain bookcase, designed by Francesco Rota, recounts Lema's DNA, translating it into a metal structure with lacquered shelves, the colour of which echoes the cupboard. The bookcase harmoniously separates the living area from the work area, where the sculptural Gullwing table designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, combined with Ombra chairs by Piero Lissoni, is the absolute protagonist. A functional space that acquires a decisive character thanks to the table's marble top and smoky grey metal structure.
