innerLine: New wallpaper collection by Affreschi & Affreschi x María Dalli

Valencia-based artist Maria Dalli creates hand drawn designs for Affreschi & Affreschi's latest collection innerLine. This collection of wallpaper designs were recently launched during Milan Design Week 2021. The interesting part of the creative process is that most of Dallis’ designs feature single-line drawings made without lifting the pen from the paper.

The collection features line designs that are embody the characteristic of the artist. Dominated by simple geometric shapes and lines that are asymmetrical, balanced, imperfect, yet beautiful, these wallpapers personify the phrase, Beauty lies in imperfections. The artist beautifully depicts the ideas of unity, fluidity and minimalism through Dalli's drawings. The designs bring focus to human connection and communication by projecting on the walls the inner beauty of the beholder. The innerLine wallpapers symbolise the imaginary line inside us which flows and crosses imagination, thoughts and emotions.

Maria Dalli is a Spanish artist, whose original work includes both minimal one-line drawings as well as gouache, archival ink and acrylic paintings, with a consistent interest in digital art. A recurring theme through the designs is minimalism and simplifying more complex figures and shapes, using improvised lines and deconstructed human figures. Her artwork exhibits a primary interest in finding the beauty and balance of asymmetrical shapes. Her work has been shipped internationally including countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, United States, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, etc.
