Extremis Milano invites Salone visitors to a Belgian backyard party

Jump over the picket fence right into the Extremis Milano’s backyard at Salone del Mobile. Visitors to the anticipatory Milan Design Week are invited to a Belgian backyard party by the Belgian furniture brand known for its innovative outdoor settings. Extremis was the brainchild of interior designer Dirk Wynants after he relocated from the north of Antwerp to West Flanders' most rural area. After having settled down, his passion for his family and design pushed him to create Extremis. A brand with a clear vision and a mission: to offer much more than just outdoor furniture.

Organizing gargantuan garden parties can be quite challenging…If only there was an all-round piece of furniture that could combine everything at once; high tables, low tables, a kitchen, electricity, a shade, and maybe some lights? Extremis is ringing its latest highlight AMAi to Milan. This award-winning table breaks all boundaries and combines everything you could possibly need throughout the day. Combined with the foldable Tiki table, the booth is set to host an effortless garden party. “Boundaries only exist in our minds… the experience of togetherness shouldn’t be limited by furniture,” says Dirk Wynants, founder of Extremis Milano.

Life demands flexibility. By morning, one is buried neck -deep in the laptop, by evening you’re hosting friends for a cocktail hour. Furniture that follows your lifestyle, standing up or sitting down? Indoors or outdoors? An effortless dinner party at night or a work-from-home moment in the shade? AMAi is a landing place for togetherness, adapting instantly to every new experience. A-shaped frames carry the height-adjustable tabletop, kitchen, or bar to cater a tailored setting. The frame overhead offers LED lights, power outlets, and a clever shade to support any gathering anywhere at any time. Break down the boundaries of imagination by combining several modules and extend togetherness endlessly.

Extremis Milano, founded by Dirk Wynants in 1994, focuses on creating furniture designs that represent products that are both useful and necessary. They are ‘Tools for Togetherness’ that stress the importance of and enhance human interactions, intelligent problem-solving and sustainability, to improve people’s lives.
