Milan Design Week 2024 is gearing up to showcase design, art, products and other installations to captivate designers, architects, and enthusiasts from across the globe. Among these exhibits, Nichetto Studio also plans to unveil a range of enticing collaborative projects. Luca Nichetto, the founder of his Venice and Stockholm-based eponymous design studio, is set to partake in the upcoming design week with seven partnerships: Torei for Cassina, Ample for GTV, Paradise Bird Outdoor for Wittmann, Biggie for Twils, Jeometrica for Scavolini, Folia and Lustra for Ethimo and an installation for Kerakoll.

Torei for Cassina

Named after the Japanese term for a tray, the Torei family of tables is inspired by the compactness and flexibility of serving trays. Elegant metal legs support an ash wood or Carrara marble top, with folded edges that evoke Eastern delicacy. Torei’s various configurations grant it a true versatility, letting it work independently, in tandem with a sofa, or arranged alongside other products in the family to create a striking assemblage of display tables.

Ample for Gebrüder Thonet Vienna

Wanting to preserve the core values of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, whilst injecting them with something new, Nichetto Studio started its concept by studying the brand’s iconic and unforgettable pieces. Moved by the desire to create an object that underlines the link between past and present, for the very first time, a steam bent process was applied on - not wood but - metal only. That’s how Ample was born - a chair design with a sinuous shape, generous seat, and a comfortable backrest ideal for residential and contract markets. The beloved accommodating profile of Ample whispers the values of craftsmanship, tradition and innovation that are rare to find in one product only, while its timeless elegance and sculptural beauty ensure an outstanding presence. The appearance of Ample intends to be versatile, with an effortless ability to change environments and places.

Paradise Bird Outdoor for Wittmann

With the introduction of Paradise Bird Outdoor, Nichetto Studio has expanded the versatility of the Paradise Bird family, making the collection an ideal choice for all interiors. This exciting project marks Wittmann's foray into the outdoor furniture market and reinforces the brand’s commitment to superior materials and elegant aesthetics. The Paradise Bird Outdoor collection is designed to withstand the elements, ensuring durability and longevity while offering unparalleled comfort and style. Paradise Bird Outdoor seamlessly blends into gardens and spacious terraces, elevating outdoor living spaces with its timeless design and exceptional comfort.

Biggie for Twils

When Matteo Ragni—an old friend of the Studio and Art Director of Twils—approached Nichetto, he was looking for a project that, with details from both the residential and the contract world, could give the company an opening to new markets. Nichetto Studio started with the notion of a skeleton, a base form, from which it would be possible to create a single, two, or three-seat sofa—with a size that ideally has no limits. It was accomplished with the production of Biggie, “A chameleonic project, involving a modular sofa and bed, that comes from a simple and intelligent process,” as quoted in the press release.
