Spanish design studio Masquespacio presents Ceramic Blossom, a new ceramic collection created by combining 3D printing, handmade finishes and dedicated craftsmanship. The collection was showcased at the Isola Design exhibition during the Dubai Design Week 2024. Imagine a secret garden, where flowers bloom in an explosion of vibrant and cheerful colours. Each petal, a promise of life, a testament to the resilience of nature. "Our ceramic lamp, Ceramic Blossom, is a tribute to this indomitable spirit, with its vivid colours mirroring the joy and emotion of Ana," the Spanish designers say.

Each petal, meticulously hand-moulded, is a fragment of a rebirth. Just as a flower emerges from the earth, the lamp design symbolises new beginnings and opportunities. It is an invitation to cultivate your own inner garden, to find light and hope in every moment. Ceramics, a material both fragile and resilient, reflects the duality of life. Just as a petal can be delicate yet withstand the elements, the lamp is a reminder that beauty and strength can coexist. The transience of flowers teaches us to cherish each moment, to find beauty in the ephemeral. The lighting design captures this essence, inviting us to celebrate life in all its forms.

The Ceramic Blossom collection is produced using technology and handmade production searching the mix between industrial and human processes. The piece made completely of clay starts from the 3D printing of the base which is then retouched by hand to give it a more personal look. The petals of the flower are made completely by hand one by one. The glazing itself is custom-made by mixing different types of colours together. "This way we recreate a new representation of ceramic production both in forms as well as in production techniques and colours," the lighting designers note.
