Internationally acclaimed design studio Masquespacio captivates visitors at the Isola Design District during Milan Design Week 2024. Their thought-provoking installation, Around The Table, the designers offer a multi-sensory experience that transcends the boundaries of art, design, and audience participation.
A playful symphony of fabric and form
Imagine a captivating space where geometric shapes, crafted from a kaleidoscope of textiles, hang suspended from the ceiling, cascading down to form dramatic curtains that adorn the walls. This dynamic environment creates a playful symphony of light and shadow, transforming throughout the day.
A curated stage for discovery
At the heart of the textile installation lies a large, inviting table. Throughout the day, this table acts as a curated stage. Here, visitors encounter a meticulously chosen selection of objects, including Mas Creations' newest ceramic marvel, the Cilinder Lamp designed by the Spanish studio. This captivating lamp design, a whimsical portal to a world of imagination, embodies the spirit of exploration that permeates the entire installation. Alongside the Cilinder Lamp, the table will showcase creations by other talented designers curated by Masquespacio, fostering a spirit of collaboration and inviting visitors on a journey of discovery.
Evenings illuminated by fantasy
As twilight descends, the table undergoes a magical transformation. The space transforms into an intimate setting for exclusive dinners hosted by Isola in collaboration with Macaroni Event. A select number of guests will be treated to an unforgettable experience bathed in the warm glow of the Cilinder Lamp.
A journey through design and fantasy
“The exhibition is all about creating a fun moment while exploring unique design objects from Isola’s design network,” says Christophe Penasse, co-founder of Masquespacio. This immersive installation emerges as one of the highlights of the design week, offering a unique blend of design exploration, collaboration, and a touch of whimsical fantasy.
