Kristina Dam Studio to thematically interpret sculptural minimalism for 3daysofdesign

Marking the 3daysofdesign event this year, Copenhagen-based Kristina Dam Studio will be holding its annual exhibition at the stunning central location of The Vintage Bar, a community-driven vintage marketplace for premium and luxury fashion. The exhibit is a showcase of the designer's new designs as well as the original sculptures by Dam, unfolding through the use of multi-sensory experiences.

Kristina Dam Studio is known for blending design, art, and architecture. With 'sculptural minimalism' as the overarching theme, the exhibition is a series of rooms, each with a unique interpretation of the theme and atmosphere. The sculptures and installations are each suited to the space, and highlight a particular design piece or artwork. Viewers will have the chance to walk through the brand's sculpture process, from the initial prototypes to the finished products. The design event will unfold through two main events—a sculpture workshop and a design talk.

When was the last time you had time to focus on yourself? Something powerful and magical happens when you unplug and get creative. Kristina Dam Studio has teamed up with sculptor Katrine Blinkenberg from FirePaperRun to offer visitors the chance to create their own cast sculpture at this inspiring workshop. The creation process is an eternal source of joy that they want to share with everyone. 

Design talk: Everything Old is New Again
Designer Kristina Dam will talk about the appeal of vintage or retro style and how it can be styled to fit into a modern aesthetic in design. Dam will also talk about the vintage references found in her work. The talk will be moderated by Rebecca Thandi Norman, Editor-in-Chief at Scandinavia Standard whose works have appeared in ARK Journal, Vogue Scandinavia, and Wallpaper Magazine.
