Greek architect, designer, and educator Kiki Goti was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. As a product designer, Goti combines several types of materials and production techniques to investigate the connections between colour, texture, culture, and identity. The end result is a limitless pop vernacular that enhances our human experience and reshapes preconceived ideas of 'Greek aesthetics' through the use of objects and the environment.

Goti's creative philosophy translates into her latest collection titled OO+II, which builds on the idea of speculative neo-folklore and neo-futuristic environments that emerge from an uncanny blending between the past and the future, manifested within furniture designs and allied objects.

Two product designs from the collection will be presented at the Paris Design Week taking place from September 7 - 16, 2023, as part of the emerging designers' show called the Paris Design Factory held at Escape Commines in Paris, France. The OO+II Nested chairs and table lamps are the pieces on focus for the curated showcase.

The selected lighting and chair designs are made of bent and layered aluminium sheets, with a brushed and waxed finish. Two distinct chairs that could fit into one another make up the adaptive, multipurpose OO+II Nested chairs seating concept presented by the furniture designer at the ongoing design week. The variety of finishes available for each seating creates a fun matrix of design options. The exhibited lighting designs honour extravagance, audacity, and fervour. To achieve the ideal mix between function and femininity, it also explores a fresh, whimsical design language.
