Alberto and Francesco Meda are an iconic father/son design duo based in Milan. Having completed his masters in mechanical engineering from the reputed Politecnico of Milan in 1969, Alberto's earliest experiences have always considered humanistic enlightenment as a pre-requisite of any design intended for use by people.

In 1973, Alberto served as the technical manager of Kartell, in charge of furniture projects development and plastic laboratory equipment. 

Since 1979, he worked as a freelance industrial designer for various companies and also collaborated with this son on notable projects. Their design style is minimal with clean lines that complement contemporary settings.
