Dnd at Salone del Mobile:
Going further… both in reality and in imagination, through the door, with the help of the handle. Not through a single door, but through doors very different in style, shape and size, thanks to handles with different lines, colours and personalities.
The stand designed by Giulio Iacchetti, Dnd’s art director, for the Salone del Mobile, refers to a fantastic world, made up of signs to read, elements to compare, roads and directions to choose. Everyone can do it by choosing their door, a neutral surface defined by a quick stroke drawn on the walls of the stand. A sequence of different doors, occupies the entire surface and lets you imagine what can happen beyond, just crossing the threshold. And the handles will be the only three-dimensional element that will emerge from the wall, enriching the space with contemporary lines and shapes, accentuated by the elegance and refinement of the black finish.
“I thought of Dnd stand at the Salone del Mobile as an infinite, candid space - says Iacchetti - where countless doors intensively occupy every portion of the surface of the walls. Doors in all styles, oriented in all ways, made with a simple black mark. Therefore two-dimensional doors, are evoked only graphically, where the only three-dimensional and true element is the handle".
A magical, dreamlike space, a non-place, in which only by using the well-positioned handles, you can overcome the real dimension of the space for a dive into the world of fantasy.
