For her first collaboration with Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, Serena Confalonieri designs Arcadia, a pouf whose shapes play with curved wood, the brand’s signature element. The classic wooden arch bends into the shape of a vault, which repeats around the pouf’s perimeter and becomes both a structural base and an aesthetic element of this project. Arcadia takes inspiration from the arches and colonnades in the courtyards of neoclassical residences, while its generous size is an invitation to conviviality and sharing, both in private and public spaces.
