Serena Confalonieri presents a new set of wine glasses and the decanters part of her Calypso collection, which is inspired by the floral shapes of Art Nouveau. Calypso was born from the research for new ways of conviviality: imagining exotic and uncontaminated landscapes parallel worlds is also possible at the table. In a synthesis between function and imagination, the glasses designed by Confalonieri refer to the idea of drinking from colored flowers, giving life to a mise en place that recalls the world of nature. The new Wine Collection completes the family of glasses and bottles, also introducing a new combination of shades, in harmony with the lively and feminine palette that distinguishes Calypso pieces: iris yellow and shaded periwinkle purple alternate and define the geometric shapes of the stem and the wavy ones of the cup.
The collection, entirely made of blown borosilicate glass handcrafted in Italy, is therefore composed of: wine glasses and decanters (shaded iris yellow and shaded periwinkle purple), champagne flutes (shaded amber and shaded pink), champagne glasses (shaded amber and shaded pink), Martini glasses (green and shaded blue), water glasses (green and shaded pink or shaded blue and amber) and bottle with stopper/glass (shaded pink and green or shaded amber and blue).
