Lema refurbished the layout of their showroom at the Alzate Brianza headquarters to incorporate the iconic furnishings of Brianza, Italy. The project curated by Italian architect Piero Lissoni, who has been the art director of Lema since 1994, focused on reworking the entire space including the ground floor, the mezzanine floor and even the grand staircase. The exhibitory space reflects the brand's journey through the years, their current accomplishments, and their future aspirations. "The space comprehensively represents our idea of living, where architects, interior designers, and customers can live and breathe the warm and welcoming atmosphere in an ideal Lema house,” says Angelo Meroni, President of Lema. The lighting of the showroom has also been upgraded with the support of Flos and Morghen Studio.

The entrance to the showroom has a large sliding door, a geometric shaped red handle and tinted walls in contrasting colours, coming together to set an atmosphere. One of momentary relaxation owing to its feel and setup that bears semblance to that of the living room. Featuring the iconic Selecta bookcase by Officinadesign Lema, the Venise sofa by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, and the Dolmen coffee table system by David Lopez Quincoces, the interiors of the space come to life through multiple shapes, textures, and geometric designs. A sense of fluid asymmetry is emphasised by Francesco Rota'sEydo dormeuse, while the Sign coffee tables by Studio Kairos resume the metal structure, affording the space a timelessness

Across the living quarter, the dining area has a strong cosmopolitan and contemporary character that can be attributed to the inspirations drawn from the northern and eastern style of Italian visual grammar. Two 'In-Between' tables designed by Ximi Li, surrounded by Fred chairs by Norm Architects seem to be in a choreographed fluidity and are reflected in the transparent glass of Christophe Pillet's Galerist windows on one side of the room. Another Selecta bookcase completes the dining area and through it one can observe the second proposed living area with two Glee sofas by Officinadesign Lema taking the centre stage. Placed opposite each other, the two modular floor sofas stand out for their essential lines and soft volumes, emphasised by the Maddix lounge armchairs signed by Dainelli Studio, that embody the deep manufacturing culture and expressive character offered by the Italian brand.

The Canaletto walnut Seryasse wardrobe by David Lopez Quincoces permeates the space with a warmth owing to its naturality. The space is completed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti's Ortis tables. The second proposal for the dining area has a sense of sophistication to it with the Gullwing table by Architects Buratti presenting the motif of light and dark that creates a play of light and shadow owing to its sculptural base. The Ombra chairs by Piero Lissoni, surround the table adding a touch of elegance to the space. The area is completed by Florens sideboard, also designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, and Plain, a free-standing modular bookcase with a light and essential structure by Francesco Rota.

As day turns into night, the conviviality gives way to a cosy and relaxing atmosphere with the bedroom proposal. The space features the Mynight bed and the Ortis Tables signed by Architects Buratti alongside the Francis tables by Norm Architects. The entire space is framed by Nur and Dandy wardrobes by Officinadesign Lema, both characterised by an innate elegance.

The wardrobes from the Al Centimetro collection are the protagonists of the wardrobe area. In this space, Dandy is joined by Tian, a modular system entirely in glass, the cut that runs along the doors across the entire height of the wardrobe shapeshifts as a handle, adding a sense of personality to it. Placed in the centre of the room, a chest of drawers of LT40, combine aesthetics and functionality.

Presenting classic furnishings revisited in a contemporary key in the second proposal of the sleeping area, Lema offers a versatile and transversal space that includes a desk corner and walk-in closet. The set-up incorporates the Maddox, the Aeriel bed, cylindrical bedside tables 'Top' by Ludovica, and Roberto Palomba, Steve Leung's vanity Eureka closet paired with the Armadio al centimetro wardrobe system. Moreover, in this proposal of a sleeping area, there is a walk-in closet formed by the Hangar system by Piero Lissoni and an LT40 composition with vanity. The Hagar system offers itself as a tailor-made microarchitectural solution, visualising the state of mind and a way of understanding life through one's own space. At the centre of the room that houses the walk-in closet, the daybed Yard by Francesco Rota reinterprets the creativity typical of 60s industrial design.

Leaving the wardrobe area, the visitors come across Nine, the contemporary reinterpretation of the weekly classic— a column with a totemic character designed as a graphic game that hides nine different drawers— signed by Alessandro Dubini. The space is completed by two Bice armchairs by Roberto Lazzeroni. This sleeping area, also has a corner dedicated to the Victor desk and the Lucylle armchair both by Lazzeroni, which create an intimate space to give voice to one's thoughts, transcribing one's emotions.

Moving onto the first floor, another large living room inhabits multiple novelties of the Italian furniture brand in a poetic dialogue with the most recent ones. On one hand, the Oculus round mirrors by Analogia Project reflect the dining area composed of the Bulè table by Federica Biasi while on the other, the iconic Selecta bookcase fashions along with the Niveaux sofa by Federica Biasi. Partnering in the composition are the Dolmen table system and two Claire lounge chairs.

The journey through Casa Lema continues, climbing the stairs that enable access to the mezzanine floor. It houses a living area and a sleeping area, two more intimate rooms distinguished by the use of wallpaper. Even the staircase has been completely redesigned, retaining its industrial character while being softened by custom-made wooden cladding.

The Selecta bookcase together with an LT40 wall composition outlines the perimeter of the sleeping area hosting the Warp bed by Francesco Rota, here flanked by the Vic bedside tables by Roberto Lazzeroni. Sharing the same space are the Notch pouffe by Johan Lindstén, the Uma bench by Federica Biasi, and two elegant Fantino armchairs signed by Gordon Guillaumier. An elegant object in its discreet aesthetics and innate versatility, Uma lightly inhabits the domestic space along with two Lucylle armchairs by Roberto Lazzeroni and the free-standing Booken bookcase by Raw Edges.

The sleeping area includes a walk-in closet created by the Dandy and Armadio al centimetro 'Open', designed by Officinadesign Lema. A perfect expression of the total flexibility of Lema's modular systems, Open is a proposal designed to furnish spaces with maximum customization. At the centre of the space, there is Cloud by Francesco Rota, the modular sofa conceived as a great game of free forms, to be combined according to one's taste, giving life to original solutions.

The mezzanine floor of the showroom ends with a living area with contemporary character. The protagonists of the space are the two new 2022 sofas Glee and Groovy by Officinadesign Lema. Able to fit into any space and to dialogue with any style of furniture design, Glee makes versatility its distinctive feature, adding a touch of freshness and contemporaneity to the space. At the service of the seat, the monolithic tables Francis by Norm Architects and Gullwing by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti are presented. Play of joints between rigid and soft shapes: Groovy modular sofa enclose the essence of relaxation in a slender structure. Like petals that open, its armrests open slightly outwards bringing out the soft cushioning.

In this space, the sofa frames the Eydo coffee tables by Francesco Rota that are combined with the Alton armchairs by David Lopez Quincoces. With a sculptural character, these seats are characterised by the metal structure that defines their semicircle shape to accommodate the dry shape of the backrest characterised by the particular sartorial workmanship made with over 200 meters of aged natural leather rope rewound by hand. The entire living area is covered in length by the Selecta bookcase by Officinadesign Lema.

In addition to the living area and the sleeping area, on the mezzanine floor, there is a corner dedicated to the most representative seats of Lema. Designed as a backlit display chest, this space anticipates a large meeting room, equipped with all Lema materials and samples. Lissoni's opulent set-up converses with the visitors and reflects contemporaneity in its design without compromising on the brand identity. He successfully finds the right balance between tradition and innovation, to write a tale of Italian excellence.
