A timeless tale of intuition, vision and research, Italian brand Oluce has been transforming light into a design element for 80 years, capable of interpreting eras, environments and emotions. This anniversary, the brand celebrates bespoke lighting design and the ability to translate ideas into objects that tell a story, combining aesthetics and technology.
On the occasion of Euroluce 2025, Oluce presents the new collection—a manifesto of heritage and innovation, between iconic pieces designed by the great masters and new propositions. A dynamic balance between elements that are only seemingly opposites, past and future, indoor and outdoor, translates into the exhibition project curated by architect and designer Ferruccio Laviani. The concept of the stand pays homage to one of the Bauhaus protagonists, Herbert Bayer, and his 'Extended Field of Vision Diagram', which marked a turning point in exhibition design thanks to a three-dimensional approach to visual perception.
In its 2025 collection, the style and elegance of Oluce products transcend the confines of indoor spaces, bringing the sophisticated atmosphere of living and dining environments to outdoor spaces. Two previews anticipate the new proposals and tell the story of the company's soul: the iconic Spider table lamp by Joe Colombo changes size and becomes Mini, while Berlin, designed by Christophe Pillet (and already a best-seller in the catalogue), illuminates outdoor environments with refinement in the new Berlin-Out version.
Mini Spider designed by Joe Colombo
Lacquered metal base, chromed vertical rod and a single illuminating body in stove-enamelled metal, expressly designed for a special horizontal spot light bulb: Three elements that translate a technical function into an original aesthetic, create a product design that remains in the memory. The famous Spider designed by the eclectic Joe Colombo, is thus reissued in the Mini table version, with careful research and study by Oluce to maintain the balance and details that have made it an icon. The new dimensions and the choice of colours look to contemporary design: alongside more classic shades such as black, Scarlet red and blue are added to give that unexpected detail that surprises and draws the eye into the space.
Berlin-Out designed by Christophe Pillet
A new addition to the range that heralds Oluce's 2025 collection, with its strong outdoor focus: The new outdoor reading version maintains the refined details of Berlin, proposing new combinations and colour shades. The reduced diameter stem and the thicker diffuser create a balance in the proportions, giving life to an object with simple geometric lines capable of interacting with different types of environments and interpreting disparate tastes. In this reading version, the diffuser of the lamp design becomes unique and adjustable, rotating 180 degrees horizontally, thus subverting the apparent static nature of the composition. The new Berlin-Out will be available in two colour variants: an all-ivory version, one with a black base and stem and a British racing green shade.
