If anything can enhance Lady’s looks to woo the Tramp, it is the latest from the house of Gucci. Fashion's beloved pets chose Gucci's new, ultra-luxurious accessories as the stage setting for its latest campaign. If you see a dog dressed in strawberry-patterned garb or a cat in a styled dress with interlocking Gs, know that it is from the house of Gucci. Taking its cues from the four-legged fashion enthusiasts, Gucci released exclusive pet gears ranging from leashes, collars, cover bowls and carrier bags to pet food bowls, miniature furniture and feeding mats. The collection, launched in June 2022, with extensive apparels and accessories for the pet empire. All of these are available with the option of customisations in the iconic ‘GG canvas’ and a variety of house prints.
For the extraordinary campaign, Gucci partnered up with Alessandro Michele, the creative director for Gucci and Max Siedentopf, art director and photographer, to raise the cats and dogs on a fashionable platform. Some of the furry fashionistas were seen wearing emblematic leather leashes while others were observed lounging on the mini couches. The campaign bore wonderful outcomes for not just Gucci but also Max Siedentopf who found a furry friend in Lucio the Daschund pup!
The fashion giant also released a line of apparels for the pets which includes knitwear, coats and even polo shirts. The pet clothes are available in vibrant colours and signature Gucci patterns. The fashion campaign was conceived by the art and direction team keeping in mind Gucci’s brand motto that focuses on fashion for all while highlighting individual personalities. Siedentopf hyped up the personalities of the campaign’s pets with popping backgrounds contrasting the pet’s natural appeal.

While the house of Gucci raises the stakes in fashion for all, they do not shut eyes to their ongoing practices for sustainability. As per the brand’s commitment to eco-friendly production, the Gucci Pet Collection includes items in recycled polyester, recycled cotton and Demetra – Gucci’s ground breaking material. Demetra was unveiled by Gucci in 2021 after a rigorous research and development over two years. The material stands out for its durability, eco-friendly nature, softness and a completely animal-free generation through plant-based raw materials. The unique bio-material is patented by Gucci and is produced in an Italian Gucci factory with the highest levels of expertise and processes to maintain the iconicity and resilience with a smooth finish.
