From Saturday 4 to Friday 10 September, in the heart of Brera, the Florim and CEDIT showrooms will host the new products designed by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez and Elena Salmistraro. Two installations in which the design of the ceramic surfaces transcends the material and embraces sustainability, art and new regenerative business models.

Florim Presents Sensi Pigmenti an installation curated by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez

Sensi Pigmenti is the new range of Florim ceramic slabs designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez. An original chromatic project – in four neutral, soft and natural colours – that completes the “Sensi of Casa dolce casa” series, which, combining innovation and sustainability, is designed with particular attention to environmental and energy impact, making it a virtuous example of the circular economy. The installation, curated by Thun and Rodriguez is inspired by a journey between land art and street furniture. A garden, bar, swimming pool, kiosk, greengrocer and retail shop are featured in the installation, which uses the windows of the Florim flagship store to connect outdoor and indoor areas, communicating a single message: design is increasingly sustainable.

The installation invites the design world to reflect on the concepts of proximity and urban renewal, as well as on the role that companies must play in facing today’s challenges. Such is the case for B Corps, companies which – like Florim – have chosen to view business as a positive force that can generate profit and also have a virtuous impact on people and the environment. Each of the seven flasghip showcases features the names of the Italian B Corps that have accepted Florim’s invitation and share the same regenerative paradigm.

CEDIT Presents The Hotel Chimera Capsule Collection Designed By Elena Salmistraro

A ceramic artwork of almost 20 square metres composed of 80 unique pieces – hand-signed by the Milanese designer – that reinterpret the illustration created for the launch of the “Chimera” collection.CEDIT presents this capsule collection with its expressive and symbolic power, inspired by Greek mythology, embracing content with distinct value to support a charitable cause.

The proceeds from the sale of the individual pieces of the work will be used to support an inclusive project to engage people with the art world promoted by the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and mainly aimed at blind children.

At Fuorisalone 2021, Florim and CEDIT discuss the overall impact and the ‘” regenerative” paradigm, crucial issues to which the group has long been strongly committed. ( In this regard, it should be noted that both spaces in Milan are entirely powered by electricity from certified renewable sources)
