Barovier & Toso celebrates its 700-year-old legacy with a new digital campaign

The Tales Project by the Italian luxury brand serves to draw attention to the stories of people behind the Italian brand’s successful enterprise

Barovier & Toso recently launched a new digital campaign called the Tales Project, which serves to acknowledge and felicitate the people behind the company’s long running dedication to the glassblowing technique. The campaign comprises a total of 40 short videos that have been authored, produced and directed by Riccardo Petrillo. Limited to 60 seconds each, these videos will soon be broadcasted on the company’s social media channels.

These short movies capture the story of the company through narration and powerful visuals. Focusing also on the island of Murano, the video details the importance of the island in the company’s story and evolution over the years. With a special focus on humanising the process behind the production of these spectacular Venetian glass pieces, the videos showcase the entire technical procedure that leads up to the final products as well as the stories and voices of the people who work tirelessly to produce the best for the company.

The poetic treatment of Barovier & Toso story in the short video clips successfully garners respect and admiration for the passion, professionalism and dedication that has gone into keeping this age-old tradition alive across seven centuries. Tracing every step involved in the process of producing these spectacular glass pieces, the videos cover the phases of experimentation, development, production, launch and communication: all of which are intrinsic parts of the company’s process and are carried out with the same diligence.

Barovier & Toso is one of the oldest glass manufacturing companies in the world. It was founded in 1295 and was initially called Barovier. The Italian luxury brand specialises in making Venetian glass using the ancient Murano glass blowing technique. They are most well-known for their glass blown lighting products, each of which has a special story behind it and is designed by some of the most experienced glass experts.
