In 2022, the Shoreditch Design Triangle returns for its fourteenth consecutive year with a hearty program of design-led happenings that are representative of the vibrant creative scene that flourishes in the area.
Highlights include the opening of Vitra’s new flagship showroom in Tramshed, a collection of early works by Jasper Morison (some haven’t been seen since in public for thirty years), SCP present One Tree, a project with ten designers which repurposes a dying ash tree, Lee Broom brings his new Divine Inspiration collection of lighting to his Shoreditch showroom, and London Fire Brigade open its doors for a glimpse of life behind those iconic big red shutters of Shoreditch Fire Station.
Shoreditch is a modern, mixed-use, inner-city environment, where residents, creative industries, the arts, retailers, restaurateurs, partygoers, and international visitors all join in. It’s a place that celebrates contrast, embraces new ideas and welcomes the individual.
In one of the London Design Festival’s largest and most invigorating districts, visitors can expect a blend of both radical and formal ideas, in the guise of product launches, exhibitions, installations, workshops, talks, tours and some convivial after-hours delights. With both established brands and newcomers present in the area, it’s the ideal place to take in the full spectrum of London’s design scene.
Shoreditch is a border place, right on the edge of the City of London, and its geography encompasses everything from beautiful post-industrial spaces to brand new mix-used developments by leading architects.
Come and enjoy design and a most cordial welcome in an area known for both its singularity and its togetherness.
