Contemporary Istanbul Announces the 18th Edition, from 28th Sept to 1st Oct 2023, with previews on 26th-27th September. Discover the world of contemporary art as international galleries and art enthusiasts gather at the enchanting historic Tersane Istanbul, a new venue located on the grounds of a former Ottoman-era shipyard on the shores of the Golden Horn. Experience the convergence of culture, heritage, and innovation, and celebrate art in all its forms.
Featuring 65 leading galleries and art initiatives from 22 countries with a total of 1,476 artworks by 558 artists exhibited at the fair last year, the 18 th edition of Contemporary Istanbul will once again welcome a strong line-up of galleries from Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and The Middle East.
Contemporary Istanbul 2023 will unveil CI Photo focus, a new photography focus organised in collaboration with Borusan Contemporary dedicated to presenting cutting-edge works by a diverse group of international galleries.
An expanded program: including exhibitions and events in and around the fair, collaborations with local non-profit initiatives, the presentation of the CIF Dialogues program as well as a curated outdoor exhibition at The Yard, the 18th edition of Contemporary Istanbul will be a destination for international visitors to Istanbul this autumn.
