Palazzo di Varignana Bologna
SUITES & ROOMS COMPLEX LE TERRAZZE Surface 2000 sqm Year 2018
Palazzo di Varignana Resort & Spa represents one of the pearls of Bolognese hospitality. Immersed in the green hills between Imola and Bologna, the resort is divided into several prestigious buildings, including the oldest of eighteenth-century origin, in a contemporary and exclusive mood that leaves ample space for greenery and the landscape. Inside the prestigious Paolo Castelli S.p.A. complex has carried out the renovations of the bar lounge and the new rooms in the area called the Terraces.
The bar lounge is located in the Reception building, in a dedicated area of 300 square meters, embellished with a terrace overlooking the main swimming pool. Paolo Castelli S.p.A. intervened both in the internal area and in the terrace area, completing building works, plant engineering, fit out of custom and serial furnishings. The room houses an important bar counter with a linear pattern, black in colour, which contrasts with the wooden finishes of the walls (oak) in a play of alternating lacquers and essences. A series of small sitting rooms furnished with Paolo Castelli brand products, declined in light nuances and warm tones - welcomes guests: the Venice seats - sofa and armchair -, the Elegance sofas, the Parabolica armchairs are proposed in cream, dove grey, beiges. The decorative lighting is always under the Paolo Castelli brand: on the Galaxy wall, the reflections of the custom-sized My Lamp chandeliers descend on the counter. A golden metal grid, laser-cut to a design by the company Contract Division, helps to separate the different conversation areas. The overall design of the bar uses, in addition to oak and black lacquered wood, metal finishes in brass and gold, combined with the Silver Brown stone of the For Hall tables and the onyx floor. The work was completed by the Bolognese company in 5 months, with an alternation of day and night teams, so as not to disturb the peace and relaxation of the guests, as well as guaranteeing the reception activities of the adjacent reception.
ROOMS & SUITES THE TERRACES
In addition to the renovation of the bar lounge in the common areas, Paolo Castelli S.p.A. he also created the rooms and suites of three new buildings within the resort complex, called "Le Terrazze". Altogether there are 45 cabins, of which 40 are standard and 5 suites, which differ in terms of surface and design characteristics. The suites start from an area of 45 square meters while the standard rooms cover an area of 35 square meters. Both types are furnished in a contemporary style, combining the light oak of the parquet and furniture with shades of gray and white for the furnishings. Paolo Castelli has here created the fitout of custom-made furnishings and the supply of serials, most of them under his own brand.
From the Castelli collection are the Audrey chair, the Flora, Flora mini and Elle tables, the Circle lamp wall lamps. On the other hand, the bed and the wall bookcases are made to measure. The hand-crafted rugs embellish the environment.
