Pin is the new collection inspired by the textile world, designed by Margherita Rui for Decoratori Bassanesi. The name comes from pin check, the well-known fine chequered pattern created with different coloured yarns. The motif is graphically reinterpreted to create a true weave consisting of imperfect strokes and movements.
Pin is made of glazed porcelain stoneware in the 23.25x23.25 cm size and is designed to be combined with the bases, in 12 different colours, from the Colours range. The lively and colourful, collection displayed at Cersaie 2021 plays on perception; the eight backgrounds are in fact superimposed on decorations in as many colours.
About the designer Margherita Rui:
After training in Design at the Milan Polytechnic and at Fabrica, the research centre of the Benetton group, Margherita Rui became creative director at Hangar Design Group. She works in Venice, Milan and New York and teaches at the IUAV. In 2009 she founded Dogtrot, where she currently holds a strategic role as creative director.

Decoratori Bassanesi was founded in 1988 and immediately positioned itself on the market as a brand that represents the values of handmade artistic decoration in the field of ceramic tiling. Today it is back on the market in a completely renewed guise, keeping the decoration theme faithful to the brand, but developed this time in a strongly coherent manner with the themes of contemporary interiors.
