"H&M Home has offered me the opportunity to spread a joyful colour palette on an international scale,” says designer and architect India Mahdavi about her latest collaboration with H&M Home. The exclusive collection with a band of ceramics, vases, cushions, blankets etc, highlights the designer’s proclivity for artisanal craftsmanship. The collection is all set to launch on the H&M Home’s website and select stores on 28th April 2022.

H&M has the brand value of promoting creativity through their unique and enticing designs, for both their fashion as well as home collections. For their collaboration with India Mahdavi, Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, Head of Design and Creative at H&M Home discusses her plans to create a poetic and contemplative collection, focusing on crafted quality and joyful colours.“India Mahdavi is the well-thought-of designer in bringing joy, optimism and colour to the world of interiors. We can’t wait to introduce our customers to India’s impeccable sense of colour and design aesthetic,” she says.

The inspiration for the home collection came through the palettes from one’s everyday life. Mahdavi showcases radiant hues of blue, green and red with playful shades of tangerine, lilac and mustard along with out of focus graphics and check-board patterns. She curates this specifically to portray the blinding but colourful lights when one closes their eyes in front of the sun. The conception for the whole collection came to her as a unique sense of optimism in a world full of uncertainty. The designer has established a stance in the luxury realm, however, she wishes to blur the boundaries between affordability and luxury through the H&M home collection.
