Bringing some of the industry’s biggest names under one roof alongside the region’s emerging native talent for a global event fostering connections and network-building has been the legacy of INDEX since 1991. Disembarking on this journey yet again, INDEX, one of the Middle East's first large-scale trade exhibitions, will set the show in motion in Dubai Trade Center from the 24th to the 26th of May, 2022. The 31st edition of this world-renowned event will be marked by a range of expert talks, interactive activations and conferences with prominent industry players, making it a key date in the design calendar and an inevitable enticement for thousands of visitors. “It’s time to feed the demand for knowledge at a critical time for commerce,” says Elaine O'Connell, Vice President of Design and Hospitality Division at dmg events. “Retail leaders and buyers will find out the latest in consumer trends, the latest in logistics strategy and detailed procurement techniques,” she adds.
The three-day affair celebrates innovative products, content, features and inspiration, while acting as a reliable link for buyers who wish to access the extraordinary interiors market of the Middle East. The trade show has planned a stellar line-up with key speakers including Isabel Pintado, the Senior Vice President of Design and Innovation of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Paul Bishop, Owner & Founder of Bishop Design and Thomas Lundgren, the Founder and CEO, of THE One Total Home Experience LLC among others.
INDEX and Workspace, an intrinsic part of the event dedicated to connecting businesses with the latest and most innovative commercial design solutions, will usher in the finest design leaders and experts for two summits within the show. INDEX Design Talks, in collaboration with GEBERIT, exudes expertise and knowledge while capturing discussions about the technical, aesthetic and strategic aspects of the industry.
The Work Design Summit aims to highlight this crucial time for the working environment and incites conversations about post pandemic workplace trends and the pertinent future of office and commercial spaces, technology and hybrid working. “At a crucial time for the working environment, The Work Design Summit fuels conversation and debate around commercial interiors and attracts facilities managers, commercial interior designers and office fit-out professionals,” shares Elaine O'Connell, Vice President of Design and Hospitality Division at dmg events.
For the 2022 edition, INDEX will showcase breathtaking installations associated with new designers and new themes exhibiting the region’s homegrown talent to a global audience. Lightbox, a creative space exclusively for lighting designers and engineers, will be launched this year to educate keen visitors about the lighting supply and design in the region. Another new addition to the event will be the Retail Leadership Forum, a dedicated conference for retailers, diving into the latest inclinations, logistics strategy, detailed procurement techniques and the corresponding post-pandemic influence.
Adding on to the rich history of over three decades, INDEX carries forward their inceptive aim: connecting designers, buyers and architects to interior design brands, products, and services from across the region and the globe so that spaces can be created that suit all styles and budgets.
Welcoming distinguished industry names, fueling engaging exchanges of knowledge and bringing to light current developments transforming the core of the realm, the event inspires new thinking and innovation in global interior furnishing businesses.
