Cersaie 2022, an international design fair for the latest innovations in ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings sector, is all set to return for its 39th iteration from September 26, 2022, to September 30, 2022. The design event will showcase over 600 exhibitors from across the globe in Bologna, Italy while keeping in mind the restrictions in lieu of the Covid-19 Pandemic. For this year’s edition, Cersaie champions the concept ‘Shaping The Future. The new dawn of ceramics’ proposed by the Iris Ceramica Group. The concept dictates a business project intended to design a future befitting its values of sustainability, respect for the environment and people. The powerful concept is a synonymous voice resounding from Cersaie to all of the partnering brands. Fiandre Architectural Surfaces interprets the concept with a new visual language through an immersive installation at the FAB-Fiandre Architectural Bureau in Castellarano. The video installationMirror Cube’ features a box, enveloped in mirrors inside and out, creating a kaleidoscopic effect and a colourful lens into the latest designs by the Italian brand. The mirrors frame the projection of a video poetically illustrating the stratification of ceramic materials, momentarily transporting the observers into an imaginary and surreal landscape. The installation is a metaphor for the Iris Ceramica Group's aspiration to develop as an 'Ecopreneur,' which has been etched into the company's DNA for over 60 years.

Alongside the immersive video installation, the FAB showroom will also preview an assortment of new surfaces, with a custom visual language curated by the Turin-based creative agency Liquido Studio. As part of their creative set design for the brand’s presentation, the creative agency has designed an illustrative experience of residing in a boutique hotel by leading the visitors through different spaces with the look and feel of a luxurious space inculcated through Fiandre’s surfaces and settings. A luxurious suite, a walk-in closet, private areas, a lounge area and a bar are amongst a few environments designed by the agency. In addition to the surfaces, there are backlighting solutions operated by Iris Ceramica Group's smart Hypertouch surfaces.

The newest ceramic surface, 'Pulsar' is a sensorial play on tactility that viewers may approach from a variety of dimensions. Emanating major stylistic and emotional values, the collection of ceramic surfaces is enhanced by an amazing tactile and visual depth, reciting the journey of a particle to a surface through stages of design and textural evolution. Pulsar perfectly corresponds to the most refined and contemporary demands of the designers through its harmonious, earthy shades in high-impact combinations. The series comes in five natural colour shades – Snow Pulsar, Graphite Pulsar, Gravel Pulsar, Silt Pulsar and Dune Pulsar – and three finishes – Satin, Natural R10B and Structured R10B.

The Graniti Maximum collection celebrates granite in all its forms and glories. Designed to enhance interior design and architectural concepts, the collection offers brilliant and refined textures and is presented through four different surfaces with special aesthetic features created with a combination of processed grains and crystals. Furthermore, Fiandre also showcases the Balance surface project with a stylistic idea of harmony and balance. Balance is a solid colour series intended to provide chromatic breaks in architectural spaces with high creative intensity, accentuating the most expensive marble textures.

Jatoba Brown Maximum, part of the Pietre Max collection, is another refined material in shades of deep, warm brown with ferrous inclusions. The surface rests well with Quarzite Vals, Luna Limestone and Roccia di Lucca in the larger collection and hones a bright and opulent texture resembling wood and golden reflections. In addition to the Maximum collection by Fiandre, there is the Marmi Maximum collection, which is enriched with three new textures that create surfaces that are highly detailed and are transformed into decorative solutions that enhance architectural, interior, and furniture design with a unique aesthetic. Both of the collections adding the term ‘maximum’ in their titles are in correspondence with the brand’s values of sustainable design practice ensuring the highest LEED and BREEAM scores. Fiandre continues to be a leading brand in the production of high-quality porcelain and ceramic surfaces alongside FAB as the leading example for the world of architecture. Among other participating brands at Cersaie 2022 are SICIS and ABK.
