AMDL CIRCLE has recently launched a dynamic new collection of clothing and articles, called Architect’s Tools. The collection was designed keeping in mind the profession - the daily life of a designer, thus making it practical and informal as well as trans-generational and gender-neutral. By excluding the superfluous elements from their designs, the creators of the collection have made the items fit for usage in today’s fluid environments, where workspaces are everywhere and any place can become an office or a workshop.
This contemporary collection was launched by AMDL CIRCLE on 1st December 2021, and the private sale of the same will continue until 3rd December at the firm’s office in Milan. AMDL CIRCLE is a multidisciplinary architecture studio in Milan, Italy that was founded in 1998. The firm focuses on ideas of inclusivity and discovery to guide its creative process and takes the responsibility to design spaces that improve the quality of life quite seriously.
This dynamic collection of Architect’s Tools enables people to move around freely. Borne out of the desire to move out of the comfort zone of architecture and design, it is dedicated to those who travel regularly and are motivated by the idea of discovering and connecting with new people across disciplines. The versatile objects in this collection have images of the Earth Stations printed on them in order to subtly convey an optimistic vision of the future.
Created through a collaborative exercise by the young designers of AMDL CIRCLE, the Architect’s Tools collection comprises a stool that can also function as a small table or a totem coat holder, t-shirts and jackets that have pockets of different sizes to accommodate essential items, and workbags that can hold a designer’s entire paraphernalia.
The Architect’s Stool also referred to as the Bisonte Stool, is a versatile piece that can function as a stool, as an iconic totem piece, as well as a cloth hanger when stacked on top of each other.
Architect’s Tee and Architect’s Sleeve are half-sleeve and full-sleeve t-shirts respectively. Made out of 100% cotton and treated with enzymes for softness, they serve as a perfect combination to the architect’s jacket, which is a light, durable, water-resistant overshirt with big pockets to hold pencils, measuring tools, small sketchbooks and other creative tools.
The Architect’s Workbag is a shift from the bulky briefcases. Its outer layer is made out of Cordura, which is a weather-resistant material, while its inner casing is made out of recycled kevlar from bulletproof vests. The light and sturdy bag can hold all essential items like phones, pencils, A4 sketchbooks and the essential laptop.
The Architect’s Tools private sale will run from 1st December 2021 to 3rd December 2021 at AMDL CIRCLE’s office in Via Varese, 15, 20121 Milano MI, Italy.
