The international design fair Cersaie 2022 kicks off its 39th edition from September 26, 2022, to September 30, 2022, highlighting what is new and what is NEXT in the ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings sector. Following the COVID-19 pandemic and the dormancy it entailed, the international exhibition welcomes over 600 exhibitors and thousands of visitors from around the world to Bologna, Italy. This year, Cersaie calls attention to sustainability with the concept of ‘Shaping The Future. The new dawn of ceramics’, proposed by the Iris Ceramica Group. Italian brand ABK joins the presentations of Emilia-based ABK Group at the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings. The company sheds light on its new collections, some of which use the revolutionary 3DTech and Full Vein 3D technologies. Alongside ABK, The ABK Group also showcases the lifestyle solutions and research of its other brands Flaviker, Abkstone, and Materia.
The group takes the viewers through an engaging journey traversing colour and material by utilising exclusive 3DTech and Full Vein 3D technologies. 3DTech technology ensures precision in the application of thick layers of ceramic material in alignment with the graphic design to create fascinating three-dimensional effects. The Full Vein 3D technology, on the other hand, allows graphic continuity between the surface and body of through-vein slabs, owing to the digitally controlled mixing of different coloured raw materials.
Colour and new decorative ideas define the space dedicated to the Italian brand ABK. The booth presents Poetry Colours, the fourth chapter of the Poetry House project by Studio OTTO - Paola Navone. In this collection, six evocative surfaces embody the character and personality of each space. Colour is of utmost importance in the ensemble, emerging through watercolour effects and tone variations on glossy tiles mirroring irregular handcrafted majolica. From the bold colours of the tropics to soothing hues, the nature-inspired palette comprises different shades of Blue, Turquoise, Sage, Pearl, Smoke, and Blush.
The ABK booth also showcases the new Wide&Style Mini Vol. 2 ceramic wallpaper collection which features unusual geometries, linear textures, and handmade style designs. The compelling designs feature aesthetic references that aid interior designers in uplifting their work. With their elegant language and bright colours, the eight Wide&Style MINI Vol. 2 motifs aim to effortlessly complement the latest style trends and blend with the existing range of porcelain floor tiles.
Flaviker's space revolves around the theme of nature with the Four Seasons. The range of floor coverings inspired by natural materials uses innovative digital technology to mirror the allure of wood in three warm colours. The name of the collection emphasises product design that stands the test of time, and adapts to different contexts. Their versatility and elegance allow the surfaces to seamlessly blend with other products by the brand, such as reproductions of veined stones and precious marble. The collection uses P.TECH technology which enhances the non-slip coefficient of the surface while maintaining a pleasant tactility. The Limoges antique stones and the Memories marble collection with versatile surfaces are also unveiled for the first time.
Abkstone and Materia feature thick marble-effect ceramic tiles created using Full Vein 3D technology. The brand’s new Full Vein 3D slabs are an ideal combination of technological innovation and aesthetics. The technical characteristics of porcelain stoneware, such as non-absorbency and durability, make it suitable for a wider array of applications as opposed to natural stone. The exemplary technical and aesthetic characteristics provided by the Full Vein 3D process safeguard the marble effect through cutting, drilling, and finishing operations, achieving a natural aesthetic for the bathroom and kitchen tops.
