The driving inspiration, behind the project Objects of Anger designed by Italian designer Pietro Franceschini, lies in the haunting relics of the Second World War's architectural remnants and war machines. These structures, including Nazi bunkers, nuclear silos, sound mirrors and anti-ballistic plants, have faced obsolescence and condemnation in modern history. Despite the negative connotations, their undeniable charm and aesthetic appeal remain striking. The reduced forms of these objects seem timeless and universally significant; their geometrical order conceals imperfections, their austerity hides poetry and their cold rationality cloaks an ancient mystery.

Objects of Anger serve as legacies of a bygone era, bearing witness to suffering and embodying the mythos of a past generation. They stand as testaments to both triumph and defeat. The project explores the duality of these objects, the product designer presents them not only as symbols of anger but also as objects of multifaceted significance. They are objects of desire, shame, hope, suffering, charm, mythos and doom. This conceptual depth reflects their legacy as witnesses to both triumph and defeat, embodying the complex emotions and narratives of a bygone era.

It is an ongoing project, with two furniture designs released so far: a coffee table and a chair design titled Automa and Silo. More objects will follow, each accompanied by a series of images created in collaboration with digital artist Enrico Capanni. The Automa coffee table has already been manufactured. Ideally, a new object will be presented every month.
